Joe Angel Valenzuela passed away Thursday April 4, 2024 in Tyler, Texas. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday April 21, 2024, at Bartley Memorial Chapel. A Memorial service will take place on Monday April 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Bartley Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brad Snellgrove, Officiating. Services are under the care of Bartley Funeral Home.

He was born on June 19, 1960, to Elias L. Valenzuela and Margarita Castillo in Idalou, TX.

Joe was always trying to lighten the mood with his jokes, singing and dancing (mostly oldies and Tejano); he loved having a good time. His laugh and smile were very infectious. If he was able to help in any way, he would. He worked maintenance the majority of the time, so everyone knew who he was. He loved spending time with family, he was the crazy grandpa/Tio. A random fact, he was unusually very good at whistling. He also played the guitar as beautifully as he sang.

Those left to cherish Joe's memory are his wife Raquel Valenzuela, his children, Elias Valenzuela of Hale Center, TX, Jessica Rodriquez and David of Hale Center, TX, Alexander Valenzuela of Dallas, TX, Desiree Mata and Michael Garcia of Lubbock, TX.  His sisters, Dianna Valenzuela of Fort Worth, TX, Julie and Martin Moreno of North Richland Hills, TX, Melissa Valenzuela of Plainview, TX, Nancy & Jorge De La 'O of Fort Worth, TX, Amy Montemayor of Weatherford, TX. His brothers, Johnny Valenzuela of Plainview, TX, Johnny Martinez of Fort Worth, TX. And nine grandchildren

Joe is preceded by his parents, Elias L. Valenzuela and Margarita Castillo, his brother Eliaz Valenzuela, Jr. and son-in-law, Martin "Marty" Mata.
