A private graveside services for Joe Davis Stanford II, 82 of Plainview will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 in Plainview Memorial Park with Rev. Doug Yates officiating. Services are under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Mr. Stanford died Friday, December 7, 2012 in Plainview. He was born on September 21, 1930 in Parker, Arizona to Joe Davis and Emma Hattie Stanford. He received his BS of Education from N.E. State College in Tahlequah, OK and completed his Medical Technologist certification at Wesley Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. He was a Medical Technologist for over 45 years and during this time served as the Laboratory Director for the Medical Center Clinic and the Hale Center Hospital Clinic Laboratory. He was a member of ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathology) and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife, Eunice Pauline Stanford of Plainview; 1 son, Joe Stanford III of Plainview; 1 daughter, Claudia Stanford of Amarillo; 1 sister, Virginia Mull of Vilonia, AK and 6 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 1 son, Stanley Stanford.
