Funeral Services for Jimmy Chance, 58 of Plainview will be Friday, January 28, 2022 in Bartley Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow in Earth Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, from 5- 7 p.m.

Jimmy "Jimbo"" Chance was born to Ernest and Lucille Chance who preceded him in death. Jimmy was born in Earth Texas on July 27, 1963. The angels of serenity came and granted peace and everlasting rest to his soul on January 16, 2022, at St. David's Medical Center in Austin, Texas. "Jimbo" was nine of ten children.

"Jimbo" was a very concerned, thoughtful, compassionate, and peculiar person. He attended Plainview High school for a short time and then received his GED. Jimmy "Jimbo" had a fondness for trucking, that led him to a lifelong career with Price construction in Big Spring, TX, and Black-Jack Energy, Snyder Texas. Cliff the owner stated, Jimmy was an excellent worker who cared about his truck and what he worked for. Coworkers stated also, he was a good man.

Jimbo had many hobbies which included cooking, barbecuing, listening to old school music, playing dominoes, and winning spades tournaments with his sister Anna-net at family reunions. Visiting with family and friends and most of all working and restoring old car projects. His dream restoration car was his 1972 Grand Prix that he never had the opportunity to complete.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife; Jacqueline Chance with daughter Victoria and son, Vyron, with grandchildren. His brothers: Jerry and wife Lady Chance of Ft. Worth, TX. Earnest Lee Chance-Abilene, TX, and Dewayne Jennings of Plainview, TX. Sisters: Annette and Earl Lang-Dallas, TX, Barbara Chance, Plainview, TX, Brenda Chance, Dallas, TX, Margie Dick, Tulia,TX.

Siblings that preceded him in death were Rita Faye Chance, Roger "Dusty" Chance, Cilla Faye & Wanda Faye Chance, Billy Chance, & Tommy Chance.
