Jesus Marquez, 60, of Plainview, departed this earthly world and entered heaven's gates on September 14, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2022, at Bartley Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be at Bartley Funeral Home on Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 5-7 p.m.

Jesus was born on February 21, 1962, to Elias Marquez Hernandez and Engracia Herrera in San Ignacio, Chihuahua, Mexico. He enjoyed working on cars and listening to corridos music. He was a wise man who always spoke his mind and told you how it was. He was always on the go and tried to stay busy. He loved his family and spending time with all his loved ones.

Jesus will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Those left to cherish his memory is his children, Joel Marquez and wife, Julie, of Plainview, TX, Brenda Chavez and husband, Willie, of Morton, TX, Janet Guzman of Midland, TX, and Jesus Elias Marquez of Plainview, siblings; Dionicio and Maria Marquez, Elvira and Martin Dozal, Martin and Gregoria Marquez, Olga and Gregorio Perez, Elias and Nora Marquez, Yolanda and Daniel Barraza, Jose Marquez, Juan and Raquel Marquez. Jesus was blessed with 10 granchchildren, Dante Elijah Chavez, Samuel Santiago Chavez, Dianeli Kamila Yolanda Chavez, Jaira-Kai Michaela Balderas, Zaidy Lyn Marquez, Joziah Lyn Garza, Rene Alberto Lazo, Jessica Alaniz, Juan Andres Martinez, and Stefany Gusman.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Elias Marquez Hernandez and Engracia Herrera, and siblings; Bravlia Marquez and Dolores Marquez.
