Jesse Jimmy Calderon, 87, of Hale Center, departed this earthly world and entered heaven's gates on April 30, 2022. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Bartley Funeral Home.

Jesse was born on November 28, 1934, in Menchaca, Texas to Trinidad and Esperanza (Quiros) Calderon. He married Isadora Barela on April 22, 1955, in Hale Center, Texas where he was a longtime resident. Jesse had a passion for music whether it be playing guitar or singing. He also enjoyed crafting and was a jack of all trades.  He worked as a farmer and rancher for most of his life, a true cowboy who worked extremely hard for everything he had. He was a dedicated father and full of life until the very end.

Jesse will be remembered as a loving father, "Pops", Grandpa Jimmy, brother, uncle, and dear friend.

Those left to cherish his memory is his children; Hope Jimenez of New Deal, Texas, Maryanne and husband, Victor, of Amarillo, Irene Palacios and husband, Jose, of Houston, Texas, James Calderon of Hale Center, Texas, Mark Calderon of Hale Center, Texas, Michael Calderon of Lubbock, Texas, Donna Lopez and husband, Chris, of Hale Center, Texas, Sandy Castillo and husband, Simon, of Plainview, Texas, Becky Perez and husband, Carlos, of Hale Center, Texas, Chris Calderon of Lubbock, Texas, Dora Calderon of Hale Center, Texas, and Kimberly Calderon of Hale Center, Texas. Jesse was blessed with 28 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife; Isadora Calderon, his parents; Trinidad and Esperanza (Quiros) Calderon, a son; Jimmy Calderon Jr., and a granddaughter; Danielle Lopez
