Jerry Doyle Kimbrell, Sr. of Shallowater departed this life on July 9th, 2021 at the age of 79 years. He was born May 24, 1942 in Lubbock, TX to Luther Roy and Hattie Mae (Young) Kimbrell. Jerry attended high school in Colorado Springs, Co. He was a veteran of the US Navy where he trained as an electrician and served in the Vietnam War. He married Kay Rosetta Sharp in August 1966 in Colorado Springs, CO; she preceded him in death in 1998. He married Helen Webb in January 2006 in Andrews, TX.

In addition to his parents and first wife, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Roy and Bobbie Kimbrell; grandson, Rhett Reamy; and granddaughter, Misti Waldrop

Survivors include his wife, Helen Kimbrell; two sons, Jerry D. Kimbrell, Jr. and Ray Kimbrell, both of Lawton, OK, a daughter, Danene Yokeum of Colorado Springs, CO; two stepsons, Robert Reamy of Shallowater and Rex Reamy of Beaumont; a stepdaughter, Vicki Waldrop of Andrews; 15 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. The family extends special thanks to the staff of Kindred Hospice of Lubbock.
