James "Jimmy" Lynn Blackwell, 62, went to join his Lord and Savior on October 17, 2023 at his house surrounded by his family.  A memorial will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 5:30 – 7:30 PM at Bartley Memorial Chapel.

Jimmy was born on February 11, 1961, to Rusty and Barbara Blackwell in Amarillo, Texas.  He attended school at Plainview High School.  He liked football, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs and Texas Tech.  He enjoyed spending time with his family at holidays, and spending time with his brother, Johnny.  He adored his daughter and grandkids.  Anytime he could be with his grandkids he was happy.

He was produce manager at United for 11 years.  He worked for OK Radio as an appliance repair for several years.

Those left to cherish his memory his father, Ranzel "Rusty" Blackwell, his daughter, Megan Elam (Eric), his brother Johnny Blackwell and his grandkids, Lani, Liam, Harley, Izabell and a boy on the way.  His niece, Haley Woods and nephews, Seth and Brenynn Blackwell.

He is preceded in death by, his mother, Barbara Blackwell, his maternal grandparents, James and Gladys Hale, paternal grandparents, Lynn and Marie Blackwell.
