Funeral services for James "Jim" Alexander will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday May 29, 2012 at Bartley Memorial Chapel with Dr. Gene Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Lockney Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. He died Thursday May 24, 2012 in Plainview. He was born July 19, 1934 in Plainview to James Patric and Helen Lois Alexander. He married Hazel Wilson on February 14, 1954 in Plainview. She died August 28, 2005. He served in the United States Navy from 1954 to 1958. He worked for the Plainview Fire Dept. from 1958 until his retirement in 1987. Survivors include 1 Daughter, Toni Brinkley and husband Danny of Houston; 1 Brother, Bill Alexander of Carlsbad, N.M.; 4 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson.
