It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jaime G. Guerrero, 69, on June 12, 2026, in Amarillo, TX. A memorial service will be held on Friday,  June 19, 2026, 10:00 AM, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Hale Center,  TX.  Arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home and of Plainview, TX.

Jaime was born on November 10, 1956, to Indelecio and Maria Guerrero in Muleshoe, Texas.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army, a dedicated commitment that included deployments to Germany and service during Operation Desert Storm. Beyond his military career, he lived life out loud and on the open road, finding true freedom while riding his Harley-Davidson. A passionate lover of music, his absolute favorite pastime was listening to classic rock and experiencing the energy of live rock concerts. He was a true fan of the classics, following iconic legends like Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol, ZZ Top, The Rolling Stones, and AC/DC—and he carried the immense pride of having seen most of his favorite bands perform live on stage.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Leslie (Tomas) Lopez of Plainview, Jessica (Michael) Marriott of Plainview; his son, Matthew Smith of Plainview; his granddaughter, Tayven Lopez of Plainview; his brothers and sisters, Nora Rodriguez of Edinburg, TX, Norma Davie of Roswell, NM, Silvestre Guerrero of Arlington, TX, and Indelecio Guerrero Jr of Plainview, TX

Jaime is preceded in death by his parents, Indelecio and Maria Guerrero; his wife, Jeanette Devlin Guerrero; his sisters, Nelda Gauna, Noemi Ramirez, Herlinda Guerrero; and his brother, Jorge Guerrero.
