Higinio Tamayo, 63, of Plainview, entered heaven's gates on June 29, 2022. Mass services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Bill Anton officiating. A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Bartley Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.

Higinio was born on January 10, 1959, to Eladio Tamayo Garcia and Elulalia Silerio Rivas in Francisco Sarco Rodeo Durango, Mexico. He came to the U.S. at fifteen where he lived in South Dakota. He married the love of his life Rosa Morales in 1999 and then relocated to Plainview, Texas.  He worked for Cargill for over 20 years. He was extremely hard-working.

Higinio enjoyed cooking, traveling fishing and he loved to dance. He will be remembered as an excelled husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 21 years; Rosa A. Moralez,, siblings; Carmen Tamayo, Martin Tamayo, Margarita Tamayo, Reyes Tamayo, Esmerelda Tamayo, Marta Tamayo, and Elias Tamayo. Higinio was blessed with a host of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and a son-in-law, who loved him very much.
