Harroll J. "Punkin" Laird was born on June 2, 1940, to Harroll Emmitt Laird "Bub" and Velma "Fern" Long Laird in Plainview, TX. He married the love of his life, Jennie Beaird Laird on July 29, 1961, in Plainview, TX.
Punkin followed his father's footsteps in participating in sports in school, he especially loved basketball. He built his life around his passions, so he never felt like he had to work a day in his life. As a skilled craftsman, he mastered cabinetmaking, etching, woodworking, and specialized in flooring. Family meant everything to him. He attended every event the girls participated in over the years, never missing a single one. He especially enjoyed when one of his girls would cook. Punkin and Jennie spent years bow and arrow hunting for deer together and even hunted rattlesnakes, later turning their skins and rattlers into unique headbands and belts. He was outgoing and loved connecting with people. Although he wasn't a gambler, he enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas with Jennie for the scenery. He also cherished drinking coffee with his buddies and eating a plate lunch at the Nu Griddle.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jennie Laird; his children, Kimbalyn "Kim" Laird of Spring, TX, Renee Laird of Plainview, TX; his fur baby, Squeaky.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harroll Emmitt Laird, "Bub" and Velma "Fern" Long.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family would like contributions to be made to the International Parkinson's and Movement Disorder Society (MDS) in Memory of Harroll J. "Punkin" Laird. https://www.movementdisorders.org/
