Guillermo "Gill" Reyes, 68 years old, passed away on December 11, 2024, in Plainview TX.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2024, at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Plainview, TX. Arrangements under the direction and care of Bartley Funeral Home, Plainview, TX.

Gill was born on June 25, 1956, to Agustin Reyes and Gloria Robles Reyes in Brownsville, Texas.

Gill was a sports enthusiast, with soccer and football being his favorites. Playing the lottery brought him excitement, and he found thrill in his scratch-off tickets. A hardworking individual, Gill balanced two jobs and was from El Barrio. Whenever he found the time, he loved going to garage sales to search for "treasures." He also enjoyed playing pool and spending time with his brothers, as well as playing dominoes and horseshoes. Family time with his son, Ray, was important to him, and he cherished sharing meals together.

Gill is preceded in death by his parents, Agustin Reyes and Gloria Robles; two sisters, Theresa Preciado and Maricella Ruiz, plus nieces and nephews.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Guillermo "Ray" Reyes Jr. with wife Amy of Plainview, TX; his sister, Gloria Atkins and husband Greg of Plainview, TX; his brothers, Augustine Jr. of Plainview, TX, Nolberto Enrique Reyes and wife Lornia of Plainview, TX, Fransisco Reyes "Paco" and wife Rosa of Sherman, TX, Jessie Angel Reyes of Plainview, TX; 5 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren with one on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews.
