Greg Lawson, age 48, of Plainview, passed away, Thursday, August 2, 2018.   Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, at the First United Methodist Church in Lockney with Ricky Carstensen officiating. Visitation will be 1pm Tuesday, at Lockney Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the personal care of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview.

Gregory Dale Lawson was born Jan. 5, 1970 in Plainview.  He graduated from Floydada High School in 1988. He worked as service man for Plainview Tire Center. He resided in Plainview Texas.  Greg enjoyed sports and video games.

Memorials may be made in his memory to First Methodist Church, First Responders Charities, or charity of your choice.

He was preceded in death by his step-father Bryan McCulloch and his step-brother Rodney McCulloch.

Greg is survived by his father Dale Lawson and wife Chris, mother, Joy Nixon McCulloch, his sister, Jana Manus, and husband Russell, step-sister; Rhonda Chapman and husband Dane of Hillsboro, Texas; step-brothers, Jaime and wife Rhonda of Denver City, Texas, David and wife DeAnna of Denver City, Texas and step-Grandmother Grace Ashley of Shallowater.   He has numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and people who would call him friend.

He will be tremendously missed by those who knew and loved him on this earth. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
