Gloria Jean Alley passed away peacefully on Friday September 2nd, 2022 in Saginaw TX at the age of 92.  During her declining years Jean was blessed to be under the personal care of her daughter, Melissa Carter.

Jean was born in Gorman, TX on May 18 ^th , 1930 to Harold and Jewel Frank. She grew up on a farm near De Leon, TX. Jean graduated high school in 1948, and attended Lippert Business School in Plainview TX. While in Plainview Jean met and married L.E. Alley Jr. with whom she shared an eventful life. Jean spent many years as a Navy wife enjoying adventures in exotic locals ranging from the Philippine Islands to Norman, OK.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband L.E. Alley Jr. and her brother Harold Frank.

Jean is survived by her sister, Joann Duncan and brother, Jimmy Frank, Jean's son, Scott Alley and his wife Gena and Jean's daughter, Melissa Carter and her husband Clint.  Grandchildren are Ellen Carter, Macy Carter, Jenna Carter, Joseph Alley and Julia Alley.

Services will be held at Bartley Memorial Chapel on September 7, 2022 at 10 a.m. with Terry Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery.
