A Memorial Service for George Rangel, 72 of Plainview will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Bartley Memorial Chapel with Pastor Marcus Flores officiating. Mr. Rangel passed away Tuesday, February 7 in Plainview. He was born September 14, 1944 in San Angelo, Texas to Elias and Juanita Rangel. George worked in construction and farming and attended Faith Christian Fellowship Church. He had a caring and humble spirit, which in turn, allowed him to have a special relationship with his family and friends. He is survived by 1 son, Marty Rangel of Littlefield; 1 daughter, Cindy Flores of Plainview; his ex-wife, Margaret Echevarria; 1 brother, Robert Rangel of Lubbock; 2 sisters, Dalia Rangel of Lubbock and Elena Perez of Idalou. He is preceded in death by both parents and 4 brothers, Juan, Daniel, Eucevio and Elias Rangel.
