Funeral services for Gene William Wade, 72 of Olton will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Bartley Memorial Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Walker of Rehoboth Christian Worship Center officiating. Interment will follow in Olton Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Wade died on Saturday, February 9, 2013 in Olton. He was born on August 9, 1940 in Henderson, Texas to Eldrige and Rosie Lee Wade. He farmed in the Olton area for many years.

He is survived by 3 sons, Dewayne Wade of Killeen, TX, Darrell Williams of Denton, TX and Roberrt Smith of Hale Center; 6 daughters, Thelma Wade, Sharon Wade and Lanesa Wade all of Plainview, Sandra Willis of Denton, Valencia Stidom of Ft. Worth and Doris Jones of Slaton; 15 Grandchildren; 1 Step-Grandson and 9 Great-Grandchildren
