Francis "Jeri" Wood, 89, of Plainview, passed from this life and entered heavens gates on September, 27, 2020. Graveside services will be held in Wellington, TX Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.

Francis was born on January 18, 1931 to Robert and Minnie Blackshear in  Wellington, TX. She married John F. Wood on July 5, 1947. She moved to Plainview with her husband in 1964. Francis was a hard worker and provided for her family after her husband's death. She worked at the Plainview Country Club as a hostess for many years. She adored her grand and great-grandchildren and enjoyed watching them grow.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory is her son; Johnny Wood and wife, Theresa, of Lockney, Texas, sister; Sharon Blackshear Gipson and husband, Truitt, of Kennesaw, Georgia,  a son in law; Tommy Chatham of Las Vegas, Nevada, and a brother in law; Earl Dee Jolly.

Francis is preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Minnie Blackshear, husband; John F. Wood, a daughter; Tonei Chatham, two sisters; Ann Jolly and Adelle Shoen, and a brother; Leroy Blackshear.
