It is with great sadness that we announce that Frances Wright, 90, of Plainview, passed away on March 7, 2026, in Plainview, TX. A Private Celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home and Prairie View Crematory of Plainview, TX.

Frances Wright was born in Quitaque, TX, on September 30, 1935, to Thomas and Ellen Stout.

During her career, Frances worked as a private investigator and provided security for Browning Root Construction. She was a talented artist who loved to draw, especially birds. Frances enjoyed watching CSI and Heartland on television. Some of her most cherished memories were taking her family to the lake to go fishing and fishing in the ocean with her late husband, (J.W.) Jimmy Wright.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Connie Acy of Plainview, TX, Pam Bushman of Splendora, TX, Charlotte Hooten of Lockney, TX, Monte Graham of Hale Center, TX, and Curtis Graham of Lockhart, TX; her brother, Paul Stout of Lubbock, TX; her sister, Anita Key of Lubbock, TX.

Frances is proceeded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ellen Stout; her husband, Jimmy Wright; her brother, Troy Stout; her sister, Pat Stone.
