Memorial service for Finis Alma Rhine Morgan, Jr. 85 of Lubbock will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Meadow, Texas with Rev. Ken McClung officiating. Services are under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview.

Mr. Morgan died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in Lubbock. He was born to the late Finis Alma Rhine Morgan, Sr. and Bertha Gertrude Weatherby, Southern Baptist missionaries, in Bello Horizonte, Brazil on April 9, 1927. After the family returned stateside, his father served as Chancellor of Baylor University in Waco, TX, where Finis, Jr. received his undergraduate degree in political science and his post graduate degree in history. He married Mary Jeanne Fox on September 6, 1949 in Meadow, Texas. He retired as the Chief Financial Officer for Fina Petroleum. He served several terms as president of the Dallas Rotary Club and he was a founding member of the National Corporate Cash Management Association. Finis and Jeanne moved to Lubbock in 1988 from Dallas after retiring to care for her mother.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Leslie Ann Morgan, November 29, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne of Lubbock; two sons, Finis Alma Rhine Morgan, III and wife Kathy of Fairfax, VA and James Stephen Morgan and wife Layne of Maui, Hawaii; two granddaughters and three step grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
