Felipe DeLuna NEW DEAL - Funeral Mass for Felipe E. DeLuna, 83, of New Deal will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Alice Catholic Church in Plainview with the Rev. Patrick Maher officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary service will be held at 5 p.m. today at Bartley Memorial Chapel. Mr. DeLuna died Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, in Lubbock. He was born May 26, 1928, in Stanton. He married Enedina "Nina" Ortiz DeLuna on July 24, 1953, in San Marcos. He was a farmer for Royce Carthel and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Phillip DeLuna and his wife, Laura, of Plainview and Steve Anthony DeLuna and his wife, DeAnn, of Amarillo; five daughters, Mary E. Rider of Plainview, Cynthia Casarez DeLuna of Lubbock, Linda E. King and her husband, Steven, of Wolfforth; Nancy E. Gray and her husband, Shannon, of Lubbock and Betsy F. DeLuna of Lubbock; four brothers, Thomas DeLuna of Newark, Calif., and Luis, Frank and Richard DeLuna, all of Wichita Falls; five sisters, Mary Guerrero and Isabel Garcia, both of San Marcos, Anita Rodriguez of Staples, Margie Samanigo of Twentynine Palms, Calif., and Ramona Gonzales of Redwood; 19 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
