Eloy Reyna passed away from this earth on March 3, 2025, pronounced March 4, 2025. A Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, March 7, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Silverton, TX. Son of Alberto Reyna and Eloisa Martinez Reyna. He was born October 6, 1954, in San Benito, Texas. He met his wife, Erma Aguilar in 1977. They married in 1981, in Silverton Texas at Lady of Loretta surrounded by friends and family. They welcomed their first child Vanessa in February of 1982, a year later Catherine was born in January of 1983, Abby was born in 1989, Isaac was born in 1993, and the last child Bethany was born in 2000. He was a hard worker and always made sure they were taken care of and well loved. Eloy and Erma were baptized together at First Baptist Church of Silverton. He had three grandchildren who were his world, Nathaniel Lopez, Haygen Lopez, and Brynlyn Thoman.
Eloy wore many titles: husband, pops, deddy, brother, son, friend, and a funny coworker. He was the hardest worker any of us knew. Soon after he was married, he started working all across Cotton Gins in Texas. When he joined the Walmart family he would come home and tell many funny stories about his coworkers. He was very particular about what forklift he was driving; he had a specific one and he would get to work an hour early just to make sure he had "his" forklift. He spent over 30 years with Walmart Distribution Center, in between working his shifts there he spent many nights working with Cirildo Leal at the Cotton Gin.
He loved music but his preference was Spanish music, every time you got in his car that was the only thing that would be playing, and he refused to listen to anything else.
Eloy is survived by his wife, Erma Reyna of Silverton; his children, Vanessa Rampley and husband J.D. with children, Nathaniel Lopez, Haygen Lopez, Dustin Rampley, Melody Rampley of Silverton, Catherine Reyna of San Antonio, Abby Reyna and child Brynlyn Thoman of Silverton, Isaac Reyna of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Bethany Reyna of Silverton; his siblings, Maria Elma Reyna, Erlinda Morales (Rudy), Corina Reyna, Armando Reyna (Ruby), Arturo Reyna (Mary), Udell Reyna (San Juanita), Enedina Gonzales Guadalupe Reyna, Edna Guajardo (Chris).
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alberto Reyna and Eloisa Martinez Reyna; and his two brothers, Hector Reyna, Alberto Reyna Jr.
Lunch will be provided at the Baptist Church Fellowship Hall Saturday at 12:30, before the service.
