Elida Mendez, 81, of Crosbyton passed away March 18, 2015. A visitation will be held at Bartley Funeral Home in Plainview from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2015. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2015 at Trinity Worship Center in Crosbyton, Texas. Burial will be at Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview.

She was born to Samuel and Francis Medina in Sinton, Texas.
Survivors include her sons; Edwin and Paul Mendez. Daughters; Elizabeth, Eileen, Edna, Maria Luisa, and Francis Cindy. Brothers; Joe, Sam, and Frank Medina. Sisters; Pat, and Sofia. She had 21 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Pablo Mendez
