Elfida Rojas, 81, of Kress, TX, passed from this life on November 6, 2018 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. A Rosary will be held at Bartley Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 6-8 pm. Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Plainview, Tx at 3 p.m. November 10, 2018 with Father Bill Anton officiating. Interment will follow at Kress Cemetery under the care of Bartley Funeral Home.

Elfida was born on December 29, 1936 in Guadalupe D.B, Chih.  Mexico to Dimas and Lucia (Hernandez) Arras. She married Cruz Rojas Sr. on January 18, 1972 in El Porvenir Chih., Mexico. She was a member of St.Paul's Catholic Church in Kress, TX. Elfida loved watching sports and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.  She adored time spent with her family and cherished watching her grandchildren learn and grow. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter; Lucia Palomino and husband, Adam, of Kress, TX, sons; Sergio Rojas and wife, Irma, of Hart, TX, Cruz Rojas Jr. and wife, Catherine, of Plainview, TX, Albaro Rojas and wife, Patricia, of Kress, TX, Joe Rojas of Kress, TX, Samuel Rojas and wife, Christy, of Sanger, TX. Sisters; Isidra Torres and husband, Daniel, of Mexico, Paula Valenzuela of Muleshoe, TX, and many half-sisters and brothers, grandchildren; Ashley Camargo and husband, Ignacio, Crystal Palomino, Samantha Palomino, Jonathon Palomino, Michel Rojas, Julian Rojas, Abigail Rojas, Tony Rojas, Jasmine Rojas, Jessamine Rojas, J'brien Rojas, Ryan Rojas, Addison Rojas, and Kye Rojas.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Dimas and Lucia Arras, husband; Cruz Rojas Sr., son; Marjo Rojas, sisters; Candelaria Covarrubia, Margarita Granados, Carlota Arras, and brother; Rodolfo Arras.

Pallbearers will include Cruz Rojas Jr., Jonathon Palomino, Jesse Covarrubia, Tony Rojas, Julian Rojas, and Ignacio Camargo.
