Dwight Lance, 72, of Lubbock, departed this earthly world on February 27, 2021. There will be a memorial service at Celebration Christian Center, 8001 Upland Ave. in Lubbock, Texas on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 10 a.m.
Dwight was born on February 3, 1949 to Harold and Hazel Lance in Plainview, Texas. He was a graduate of Lubbock High School. He worked as a manager at Furr's Supermarkets, as a wholesale food broker, and a landscaper before he was seriously injured. After his recovery, he worked as a custodian for Celebration Christian Church and LISD.
Dwight enjoyed yard work; planting flowers and trees and collecting antiques. He will be remembered as a wonderful son who took wonderful care of his parents during the years that they were disabled.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children; Carrie Lance Nelson of Lubbock, TX and Andrew Lance of Austin, TX, brothers; Gary Lance of Chandler, TX, Larry Lance of Amarillo, TX, Charles Lance of Georgetown, TX, and David Lance of Lubbock, TX. Dwight was also blessed with 3 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Harold and Hazel Lance.
