Funeral services for Dorothy Hollars, 85 of Plainview will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at the First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Tim Marrow officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Hollars died Monday, February 3, 2014. She was born on September 2, 1928 in Denison, Texas. She married William "Bill" Paul Hollars on November 22. 1950 in Plainview. He died January 1, 2014. Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was very active and also sang in the choir. She is survived by 3 sons, Ken Hollars and wife Susan of Arlington Heights, Ill., Michael Hollars of Sunnyvale, Calif. and Tracy Hollars and wife Dana of Plainview; 1 brother, Doyce Pool and wife Margie of Round Rock, TX; 4 grandchildren, Daniel Hollars of Chicago, Ill., Kyra Hollars of Arlington Heights, Ill., Trey and Jennifer Hollars both of Plainview.
