Dorothy Lynn Gary was born on August 7, 1962, to Joseph Schweitzer and Janice Juel Laflin in Hartford CT.

Dorothy had a creative mind and was very artistic and crafty. She enjoyed coloring and making wreaths. Whether she was alone or had an army behind her, she faced the world head-on. As an independent woman, she was strong-willed and determined. Dorothy was tough as nails and always fought for what she believed in.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Schweitzer and Janice Juel Laflin; her brother, Frank Schweitzer; and her nephew, Joey Schweitzer.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, James Schweitzer and Janice Schweitzer; her sister, Juel Schweitzer Weaver; her brothers, Charles Schweitzer and Thomas Schweitzer; her grand-children, Aryanna Allen, Kennison Serlo, Jackson Serlo, and Syren Schweitzer; her nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Wendy, Russel, Crystal, Kayla, Mackenzie, and Hannah.
