With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Dora Rios Arredondo on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in Plainview, TX, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Plainview, TX, at a time to be determined. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home and Prairie View Crematory in Plainview, TX.
She was a dedicated servant of Jehovah God, born on May 15, 1961, to Raymundo Rios and Odelia Acosta Rios. A loving mother and grandmother, her warmth, strength, and gentle spirit will be profoundly missed by everyone who knew her.
She leaves behind her beloved sons, John Anthony Rios and Alexander Rios; her daughter, Jessica Renea Arredondo; her mother, Odelia Rios; her sisters, Rachel Rios, Becky Goodman (Roy Goodman), Sylvin Rios, Francis Rios, Cynthia Rios and Janie Rios; her brothers, Raymond Rios (Eloisa), Bobby Rios, Richard Rios (Maribel), Albert Rios (Alicia) and Gustavo Rios; four grandchildren, Shanelle Keyva Rios, Kaleb Anthony Arredondo, Josiah Alexander Arredondo and John Anthony Rios Jr, numerous nieces and nephews.
Dora is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Rios; and her husband, Anthony Arredondo.
“Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” John 5: 28-29
