Donella "Ann" Settle passed away November 9, 2023, viewing will be held Wednesday, November, 15, 2023 at 1:00 - 2:00 PM, funeral services will follow Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Bartley Memorial Chapel. Burial will be held at a later date, in Rising Star Cemetery, Rising Star, Texas.  Funeral arrangements are under the care of Bartley Funeral Home, Plainview, Texas.

Donella "Ann" Settle passed away November 9, 2023, in Plainview, Hale County, Texas. She was born on April 02, 1942, to Paul and Catherine Muhle in May, Brown County, Texas.

Ann attended Plainview Salvation Army Church then Plainview Family Church of the Nazarene. She was a homemaker when her kids were younger then she started sitting with the elderly.  She married the love of her life, AC Thompson on January 16, 1957, and AC passed away in 1981.  She married Clyde Settle, in August 1995, Clyde passed away in 1996.

She loved animals, making crafts, volunteering at Salvation Army soup kitchen and other church activities and spending time with family.  She collected cookbooks and dolls.  Later in life she attended college and studied Child Development and Vet Tech at South Plains College, in Plainview, Texas.

Those left to cherish Ann's memory are her daughter, Donnie Ann and husband Glynn Neal of Plainview, Texas, her brother, Glen Roy Muhle of Brownwood, Texas, her grandkids, Betty Rose Rice of Florence, Montana, Jon Drummond, Titus, Alabama, nieces and nephews, Jon and Sherry Rivard, Lonnie Goins, Lewis Goins, Darrell Goins and Gary Don Goins all of Brownwood, Texas, Jeannie Goins of Clearwater, Florida, and a son-in-law, Milton Anderson of Audubon, Minnesota.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Catherine Muhle, her two husbands, AC Thompson and Clyde Settle, a daughter, Bertie Fay Anderson, granddaughter, Heather Drummond, brother Joseph Muhle and wife Iola, Lester Muhle, sisters Betty Chennault, Carolyn and husband Roy Goins, two nephews John Columbus Goins and Orville Goins.
