Derrell Wayne Jones passed away on December 3, 2023. He was born on December 2, 1952 to Tollie Lawrence Jones and Verna Mae Griffith in Plainview, Hale County, Texas.

Derrell met the love of his life Gayle and married in 1981.  Derrell was a bricklayer for many years and worked at Attebury Grain. He was also a manager at Allsup's Convenience Stores and a court reporter.  He loved his family and looked forward to gatherings during the holidays. He would do anything for his family.  He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and smoking, drinking beer and whiskey.

Those left to cherish Derrell's memory are his daughter, Deana Fraser and (James) of Seattle, Washington, his sister, Tollie Pointer of Lubbock, Texas, his three grandchildren, Chelsea Kurtz (Nicholas) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Alex Jones (Christy) of Seguin, Texas and Audrie Hopper (Brandon) of Bonney Lake, Washington, and six great-grandkids, plus one on the way.

Derrell is preceded in death by his parents, Tollie Lawrence and Verna Mae Jones, his wife Gayle Jones and a son Robby Jones.
