Dennis Butler, 63, of Plainview, passed away on December 8, 2021. No services are scheduled at this time.

Dennis was born on February 4, 1958, in Lockney, Texas to McKinley Simpson and Lela Rook. He worked as a carpenter, truck driver, and made belt buckles.  He married Melody Bird on September 17, 2001. Dennis enjoyed playing guitar, riding four-wheelers, and karate. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Dennis will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Melody Butler of Plainview, Kayla and Garcy Harper of Dallas, TX, Lexi Butler, Juan Flores, and Aaron Butler, of Plainview, brother David Butler of Plainview, sister, Suzanne Harris of North Port, Florida. Dennis was blessed with 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and his furry companion: Pepper.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; McKinley Simpson and Lela Rook, a sjster, Callie Simpson, nephew; Christopher Garcia, niece; Shelby Cheyenne Farmer, and a sister-in-law; Patty Butler.
