Celebrating the Life of  Darrel James Ayers

Darrel went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 2, 2023.   A memorial service will be on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Bartley Memorial Chapel with H K Thomas officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home in Plainview, Texas.

Darrel was born December 1, 1964, to James Melvin and Ethel Mae (Coleman) Ayers, in Plainview, Texas.

Darrel attended Plainview High School. He was a construction welder and worked on road construction also.  He loved fishing, being a clown and making people laugh.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son: Brandon McDonald in Abilene; his sisters: Ruby (James) Walzier from Plainview, Tamara (Marvin) Daniels and Victoria Thompson from Dallas, Texas; Mary Katrina Coleman of Plainview and Misty Wolley of Lubbock. His brothers; Albert Thornton of Dallas and Bennie (Casandra) Coleman of Lubbock, his grandkids: Malachi Rendon; Eli Martinez; and Tatiana McDonald.

Darrel was preceded by his parents:  James Melvin Ayers and Ethel Mae Coleman; his brother: Willie Coleman; his stepdad: Albert Coleman; and his grandmother: Ollie Young.
