Daphne Manz passed away on October 3, 2023, at the age of 75.  Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM at Plainview Memorial Park. A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM at Bartley Memorial Chapel.   Under the care and direction of Bartley Funeral Home.

Daphne was born on July 7, 1948, to Dr. Herman and Doris Harvis in Pasadena, California.

Daphne had a passion for reading all kinds of books, her favorite were romance novels.  She was a very sociable person, enjoyed making new friends and telling jokes. She had a large laugh and loved spending time with her nephew. Other interests were music, cooking, ethnic arts, and history.  She was a caregiver to her parents.  She was a Special ED teacher and a volunteer for the local MHMR.  She was a Mary Kay Skin Care Consultant.

She had a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education and Fine Arts from Stephens College in Columbus, Missouri.  She received Graduate Certifications in the area of special services from Texas Tech, Texas Women's University and North Texas State University.

Those left to cherish Daphne are her brother-in-law, Ray Pursley, a nephew, Matthew Pursley, both of Duncanville, Texas, and cousins, Judy (Jack) Hill and Gary Sorenson both of Canyon, Texas.

Daphne is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Herman and Doris Harvis and her twin sister, Deborah Pursley.
