Funeral services for Danny Calderon Salas, 55 of Hale Center will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2016 at Church of the Valley in Hale Center with Israel Flores officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church. Mr. Salas died Thursday, March 10, 2016 in Lubbock. He was born in Lubbock, Texas to Aurilano Luna and Esmeralda Calderon Salas. He married Christina Cantu on January 21, 1988 in Hale Center. He was a mechanic and a member of Church of the Valley in Hale Center. He is survived by his wife, Christina Salas of Hale Center; 1 son, Danny Salas, Jr.; 4 brothers, Aurilano, Jr. and Isabelle Salas, Rudy and Eva Salas and Joe Salas all of Hale Center, David and Lala Salas of Lubbock and Adam and Janie Salas of Plainview; 4 sisters, Diana and Domingo Sepeda and Irene Salas and Aron Vongilleland both of Forney, TX, Esmeralda and Travis Logan of Garland and Rosalinda and Chad Massey of Plainview. He is preceded in death by his father and 1 brother, Luis Salas.
