Cynthia was born on November 8, 1960, in Plainview, Texas, to Massie Lee Williams and Perlene Mason Williams.  "Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Massie Lee Williams. She was lovingly raised by her mother, Perlene, and her 'dad,' Lawrence Windom.  A lifelong resident of Plainview, she graduated from Plainview High School in 1979.

Cynthia dedicated her life to caring for others. She attended South Plains College of Nursing and graduated in 1990 as an LVN. Her compassion and kindness shone brightly when she was serving people, especially the elderly, which was the focus of most of her nursing career.

She was a woman of deep faith and love. Above all, she loved God, her church, her daughter, her six grandchildren, and her two great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world.

Cynthia possessed a vibrant spirit and a gift for making things beautiful. She adored fashion, and she channeled this passion while working at CR Anthony's, where she enjoyed helping people find their perfect style. She also had a wonderful eye for design, loving to decorate homes and capture memories by taking pictures.

Her kitchen was another place where her gifts shined; she was a truly great cook, especially known for her delicious snacks and pastries that people often bought from her. She was a dedicated sports fan, loving her favorite color red while cheering on the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Cynthia's legacy is one of unwavering optimism and grace. She will be remembered for her beautiful heart that always found the good in everyone.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, LaTera Russell of Lubbock; her grandchildren, Roosevelt Russell IV, Ronniyah Russell, Nia Russell, Freedom Russell, Jaxson Russell, and  Khya Jackson all of Lubbock; her great-grandchildren, Mahari Russell and Ayla Russell both of Lubbock, her dad, Lawrence Windom of Killeen, TX;  her sister, Jessie Mae Murry of Plainview, her brothers, H. K. and wife Betty Thomas of Plainview, and Lawrence Windom Jr. and wife Neka of Austin, TX; four nieces, seven nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents, Massie Lee Williams and Perlene Williams Windom, her daughter LaKayta Deanne Jackson, her sister Brenda Johnson and her brother, Lee V. Thomas.
