Reunited with his wife, Francisca, in heaven, we announce the passing of Crespin Cantu of Hale Center, TX, on May 7, 2025, in Plainview, TX. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bartley Memorial Chapel. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Bartley Memorial Chapel, with Dr. Kenneth Horton, officiating. The family will gather for a meal at Sunset Pointe Event Center following the Memorial Service. Arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview.

Crespin was born on June 27, 1949, to Crespin Cantu Sr. and Margarita Martinez Cantu. He married the love of his life, Francisca Cantu, on November 8, 1968, in Lamesa, TX.

Crespin was a pastor who maintained his faith in the Lord. He loved to tell jokes and enjoyed bringing people together, always sharing in laughter. Singing and dancing were among his favorite pastimes. Crespin prayed for his family and cherished the moments when all of his children could be together.

Crespin is preceded in death by his parents, Crespin Sr. and Margarita Cantu; his wife, Francisca Cantu; his brothers, Rosendo Cantu, Leo Cantu, and Apolonio Cantu; and his sisters, Lucy Cortez and Molly Perez.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Lupita (Robledo) Gonzales of Falfurrias, TX, Rosendo Cantu (Esperanza) of Lubbock, TX, Marsaleno ( Teresa) Cantu of Plainview, TX, Kathy (Adrain) Grimaldo of Hale Center, TX, Christel ( Jose) Cantu of Hale Center, TX, Chris (Raquel) Cantu of Plainview, TX; his sisters, Leonar Rascon of Lubbock, TX, and Helen Cantu of Lubbock, TX; one brother, Ignacio Cantu of Hale Center, TX; 26 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
