Connie
Sunday
July 11, 1950 – February 12, 2025
Connie Sunday, 74, met her Lord and Savior on February 12, 2025. Cremation arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home and Prairie View Crematory of Plainview, TX.
Connie Sunday was born on July 11, 1950, to Frank Hobbs Sr. and Marie Brooks Hobbs in Wichita, Kansas.
Connie had a brilliant mind and an IQ that was beyond the genius scale. She earned a Master's degree in Music from Rice University in Houston, Texas. She inherited a remarkable blend of musical talent, dance skills, and computer expertise. She authored several books, primarily focused on music, especially baroque music, and various theories. One of her notable works is "Love Letters to Marie," a collection of letters her dad wrote to her mother during World War II.
In Lubbock, TX, Connie devoted her time to teaching Suzuki violin to local young protégés, scheduling their lessons in her small apartment every other day. The violin was her life and passion. Connie had lived in New York in her late teens and the Bahamas for some time in her life and enjoyed dancing. She embraced new experiences, traveling to exotic places and immersing herself in different cultures.
