Clarence Anthony "Tony" Henegar, 80, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024, in Plainview, Texas. A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 AM preceded by a power point presentation at 9:30 AM on Saturday April 20, 2024 at Grace Methodist Church in Plainview, Texas.

He was raised in First Assembly of God Church of Plainview. He married the love of his life, Lucielle Howard, on July 4th, 1964, in Plainview. They had one daughter together, Christy Henegar, who currently teaches English at Wayland Baptist University.  They also had one grandson, Anthony Paul.

He graduated from Plainview High School in 1963, He graduated with a BS degree from Wayland Baptist University and a Masters from the University of Texas at Tyler.

Tony had a passion for educating collegiate scholars with his knowledge in automotive technology and taught at the Plainview Campus of South Plains College, Wayland Baptist University, LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas, and Mesalands Community College in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He finished his career teaching automotive technology at Plainview High School and retired in 2009.

Tony is survived by his wife, Lucielle Howard Henegar, his daughter, Christy Michele Henegar and grandson, Anthony Paul, a brother, Edward "Eddie" Lee and wife, Helen, Henegar all of Plainview, Texas.

He is preceded by his parents, Lester L. and Almeria Henegar, his sisters, Lola Carter, Lena Thompson, Oleta Owens and Marnell Armstrong, and his brother, Charles Henegar.
