Funeral services for Cipriano "Pano" Vela, 53 of Plainview will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Bartley Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Pano was born April 2, 1962 in Raymondville, Texas to Juan and Anita Vela. He passed away on April 11, 2015 in DeSoto, Texas. He is survived by his father, Juan Vela, Sr. of Plainview; his wife, Rosalinda Gonzales of Plainview; 1 son, Gabriel Alonzo Vela of Plainview; 4 brothers, Ruben and Rosa Vela of Plainview, Oscar Vela, Eddie and Haydee Vela and Hector Vela all of Arlington, Texas; 6 sisters, Liz and Arturo Salas and Nelda Vela of Plainview, Jaine Garcia, Minerva and Jose Vasquez, Dalia Vela and Fresca Vela all of Arlington, Texas; 2 granddaughters, Makayla and Autumn Alonzo and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Anita Vela; 2 brothers, Juan R. Vela and Jaime Vela.
