Charles "Jackie" McGee passed away on January 13, 2024. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 2:00 PM at College Heights Baptist Church.

Charles was born on February 3, 1953 to Percy and Jennie McGee in Clarksdale, Mississippi.

Charles served his country with two different branches, the Marines and the Army.  During his service in the Marines, he was in the Vietnam War and he received the National Defense Service Medal, Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, Vietnam Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.  He later joined the Army and served there as well.  During his civilian years, he worked at Vic's Cleaners.

Those left to cherish his memory are children, Charles McGee II and wife MK of Fresno, California; his brother, Ben McGee and wife Doris, of Plainview, Texas; two sisters Rosie McGee Smith from Spokane, Washington and Johnnie Mae McGee Toombs from Cordova, Tennessee; his nieces, Tommecia McGee and Tracy Williams of Tulia, Texas, Micki Price and husband Joseph of Plainview, Texas and Jennica Williams and husband Will of Littlefield, Texas. 17 great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Jennie McGee and his brothers Edward McGee, Percy McGee and Jessie McGee
