Funeral mass for Celia "Sally" Gonzales, 77 of Plainview will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 2 at the funeral home. Sally passed Sunday, May 31 in Lubbock. She was born June 6, 1937 in Melvin, Texas to Augustine and Maria De La Cerda. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Fred D. Gonzales of Plainview; 3 daughters, Christine Bernal of Plainview, Cynthia and Federico Mancias of Little Elm and Julie and Lorenzo Medina of Lubbock; 3 sons, Manuel and Diane Gonzales and Tony Gonzales both of Plainview and Gilbert and Kris Gonzales of Denton; 2 brothers, Tony De La Cerda of San Jose, CA and Augustine and Anita De La Cerda of Uvalde; 5 sisters, Mary Lou De La Cerda of Ventura, CA, Ida Alfaro and Adelphia Longoria both of Lubbock, Maria Longoria and Rosa Catano both of Plainview; 20 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 1 son, Fred, Jr.; a son-in-law, Saul; 1 sister, Eloisa Basquez and 5 brothers, Fortunato, Arturo, Alfred, Ricardo and Ralph De La Cerda.
