Funeral services for Carolyn Wieland, 65 of Plainview will be at 2:30 pm Friday April 13, 2012 at Northwest Church of Christ with Van Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Lockney Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. She died Tuesday April 11, 2012 in Plainview.

She was born on April 15, 1946 in Lockney, Texas to Kenneth and Maurine Griffith. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1964. She married James Wieland on November 9, 1965 in Plainview. She was a cafeteria worker and later a cafeteria manager for Plainview Independent School District for over 30 years. She was a member of Northwest Church of Christ.

Surviving are her husband, James Wieland of Plainview; 2 Sons, Kevin Wieland of Lubbock, Keith Wieland and wife Cindy of Plainview; 1 Brother, Kenneth Griffith and wife Rose of Liberal, Kansas; 5 Grandchildren, Whitney Wieland of Lubbock, Chad, Kyle, Kenzie, and Kaitlyn Wieland all of Plainview. She was proceded in death by, Her Parents, Kenneth and Maurine Griffith; 1 Sister, Elaine Griffith and 1 Granddaughter, Haylee Wieland.
