Graveside services for Carla Lowe, 89 of Big Spring, formerly of Plainview, will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Ms. Lowe died Saturday, January 12, 2013 in Big Spring. She was born on December 5, 1923 in Plainview to Henry, Sr. and Ada Adair Johnson. She obtained her LVN nursing degree at Plainview Medical Center. In 1944 she married Willie Lee Lowe and co-owned Lowe's Drive-In also known as the Malt-Stand. She moved to Big Spring, TX in 1976 and continued working as a nurse until retiring in 2004. She was a member of Church of Christ in Plainview and became a member of Highway 80 Church of Christ after moving to Big Spring.

Carla was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee Lowe; Sisters, Lynece O'Neal, Vaurice Goss, May Pearl Goss, Lu Ellen Johnson and Jo Ada Johnson; Brothers, Milton Goss, Heazie Goss, Samuel Johnson and James Johnson.

Those left to cherish wonderful memories: Brother, Henry Johnson, Jr. and wife Rachel of Hereford, TX; Daughters, Susan Lowery of Plainview, TX and Jo Ellen Smith of Lakewood, WA; Six Grandchildren, Jacqueline Lowery, Cleo Pittman, Beverly Lowery-Nickerson, Roslyn Smith, Andrae' Smith and wife Ashley and Danielle Smith; Five Great-grandchildren; Eight Great-great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
