Carl Wayne Brown, 45, of Plainview, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Plainview First Assembly with Pastor Richard O. Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Bartley Funeral Home in Plainview, Texas.

Carl was born on May 24, 1972 in Plainview, Texas to Jolene Brown-Davis and Willie Brown. He graduated from Plainview High School in Plainview, Texas in 1991 and then went on to serve in the United States Army. He coached Tiger League Football for 14 years and was a member of Happy Union Baptist Church where he ushered. On top of everything he was also a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his mother; Jolene Brown-Davis, his grandparents, and his brothers; Earnest Irvin Jackson, Willie Lee Brown Jr., and John Lewis Brown.

He is survived by his father; Willie Brown, wife; Atasha Brown, two children; Prenston Thomas (Son), and T'Quira Brown(Daughter), two grandchildren; Za'Vren Thomas(Grandson), and Paris Thomas(Granddaughter), one brother; Edward Brown(Phalonia) of Lubbock, Texas, seven sisters; Earlene Brown, Betty Jo Brown, Betty Jean Brown(Tyrone) of Montgomery, Alabama, Wilma Brown-Smith(Bennie) of Killeen, Texas, Elaine Brown of Plainview, Texas, Michelle Riggins of Lakewood, Colorado and Angelina Brown of San Antonio, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
