It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bruno Mata, 62, on October 20, 2025, in Plainview, TX. Cremation arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home and Prairie View Crematory of Plainview.

Bruno was born on August 25, 1963, to Corina Dominguez Mata and Guadalupe Mata in Dimmitt, TX.

Bruno dedicated most of his adult life to working as a handyman, consistently welcoming others with a smile. As a devoted uncle, he was cherished by everyone for his warmth and generosity. Bruno found joy in fishing, hosting lively BBQs, and treasuring every moment with his family.

Bruno is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Corina Mata; his sisters, Guadalupe "Cookie" Mata, Virginia Dominguez and Chrisselda " Chris" Mata.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Bruno Mata Jr.; his sister, Esperanza Mata; and his brothers, Jessie Mata, Jerry Mata, and George Mata.
