Memorial services for Bobby Dirrell "Bean" Johnson will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday February 4, 2012 at Happy Union Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Miller officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Bobby Dirrell Johnson, age 48, was born July 15, 1963 to Bobby Ray Johnson and Eloise P Johnson in Plainview, Texas where he spent his early childhood and attended elementary school. Later, he moved with his father and mother to Wichita Falls, Texas where he completed his education, graduating from Rider High School in Wichita Falls. He was actively involved in the band (playing the drums) and Junior ROTC program during his high school years. Bean was also a very gifted and accomplished artist with sketches and drawings, and he loved to cook. Bean was a very appreciative person and would be willing to help anyone that needed help. He was a loving father and grandfather and a man you could always trust, a confidant (a close friend). Before his passing, Bean filled the emptiness within his heart by trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ. Although he is absent from his earthy body, his spirit is present with the Lord. Bean leaves to cherish his memory many loved ones, family and friends.
Surviors include his parents Bobby Ray Johnson (Doretha), Eloise Johnson Powell-Wilson (Gregory); two sons, Brandon Jerrell Neil and Bryant D. Cooper; three Grand-Daughters, Marchelle, Brandie and McKenzie; one sister, Quintina (Tina) Johnson (John); three brothers, Christopher Pollard (Cynthia), DeMarreo Johnson (Carrie), Reginald Johnson and favorite niece Chanelle (Cha) Johnson, and very special lifelong companion of 26 years Patricia Ann Cooper.
