Funeral services for Betty Ruth Monkres, 68 of Plainview will be held at 10:00 am Friday September 30, 2011 at Bartley Memorial Chapel with Bruce Cotton officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 7-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. She was born on August 17, 1943 in Hannah, OK to Elza Ray and Jessie May Standridge. She married Eurban Monkres June 4, 1959 in Tulia, TX. Survivors include her husband, Eurban Monkres of Plainview; two sons, Larry Monkres and wife Mirla of Plainview, Hurtis Moknres and wife Jessica of Plainview; two daughters, Lisa Morgan and husband Russell of Dallas, Tonya Allison and husband Scott of Plainview; three sisters, Sue Hammett of Oklahoma, Jean Lawrence of Amarillo, Faye Phelps of Oklahoma; 12 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
