Betty Hingst, age 85, met her Lord and Savior on November 7, 2024.Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bartley Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 10:30 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Plainview, TX, Rev. Nathan Misch, Officiating. Interment will follow to Plainview Memorial Park, Plainview, TX. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Bartley Funeral Home.
Betty Hingst was born on May 25, 1939, to George Winston and Mable Spaulding in Center, Texas.
Betty Hingst was a wonderful mother with a kind heart and a caring nature. She had a smile that everyone remembered and worked for the Plainview Daily Herold for 20 years. Throughout her 46-year marriage to her husband Warren, who was in the construction career until his passing in 2012, she was a very supportive wife. Betty was a devoted mother and grandmother, always encouraging her children and grandchildren in their endeavors. She LOVED BIG. Betty was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was active in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and Meals on Wheels.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, George Winston and Mable Spaulding; her husband, Warren Hingst, and her daughter, Kimberli Hingst Terrell.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Chris and wife Holly Hingst of St. Francis, KS; her daughter, Heidi and husband Timothy Kuehn of Lubbock, TX; her sister, Shirley Kuykendall of Baton Rouge, LA; her brothers, George and wife Nancy Spaulding of Austin, TX and Robert and wife Norma Spaulding of Planview, TX; Her six grandchildren, Melissa Terell Burns, T.J. and wife Kendra Terrell, Maggie Grace Hingst, Keegan Carl Kuehn, Hayden Warren Hingst and Karter Warren Kuehn; her five great-grandchildren, Jillian and Brandon Burns, Tye, Tell, & Trail Terrell.
The family suggests memorials be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 901 Oakland, Plainview, TX 79072 in memory of Betty Hingst.
