Obituary

Benjamin Arnold Tucker, 80, went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2015. He was born June 26, 1935 in Griffith Springs, Arkansas to Ray and Gladys Tucker. He married Juanita Maddy on November 5, 1954 in Wakita, Oklahoma.
Ben retired as Tech Sgt of the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He served with distinction and honor during the Vietman and Korean Wars. He was a recipient of a Purple Heart, The Meritorious Service Medal and the Air Medal. He served as a member of the Elks Lodge #1348 for many years. Ben was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing and playing guitar.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita; sister, Peggy Wells and both parents.
Ben is survived by three daughters, Cindy Tucker of Lubbock, Connie Garcia and husband Jaime of Lubbock and Terry Berryman and husband Jeff of Shallowater; one son, Tim Tucker and wife Melinda of Lubbock; one sister, Patsy Porter of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren; special friend, Deanna Tucker and a host of nieces and nephews.
There will be a viewing on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Broadway Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015 in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery with Ron Huckeby officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview.
