Services for Beatrice Torres, 53, of Plainview will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Primera Iglesia Bautista with Raymond Gonzales officiating. Burial will be held at Plainview Cemetery under direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Beatrice was born on October 12, 1962 in Plainveiw Texas. She passed away on July 21, 2016 in Lubbock. Beatrice graduated from Plainview High School and then later attended West Texas A&M where she received a degree in social work and education. She worked for the Plainview Independent School District for 10 years. Beatrice is survived by her mother, Maria Torres of Plainview; 3 sisters, Belen, Andrea, and Anna Maria Torres, all from Plainview; nephews and nieces include Roberto Torres, Avery Monkres, Noah Rodriguez, Nicodemas Rodriguez, Alyssandra Rodriguez, Anastasia Rodriguez, and Madalyn Monkres; along with 5 great nephews and nieces; proceeded in death by both grandparents Joe and Juanita Pena & Manuel and Juanita Ramos along with father Jesse Torres. She will be greatly missed. She loved her family, especially her nephews and nieces.
