Barbara Millard Paschal, 84, passed away on September 19, 2026 in Lubbock, Texas surrounded by the love of a family that meant everything to her. Arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview.

Barbara was born in Dennison, Texas, on February 26, 1942, to Lonnie C. and Willie Belle Millard. She married the love of her life, Roy Paschal, in Plainview, Texas. They had two daughters, Rhane Ann and Angela D’Lene (Dee), and moved to Hale Center in 1965 and continued to live there until Roy’s death in 2009.

In 1983, Barbara became a “Nana” for the first time, and it was a name that came to represent not only who she was to her family, but the love, strength, and devotion she gave to generations of those around her.

Family was at the center of Nana’s life. She was the kind of grandmother who showed up. Whether it was a ball game, a birthday party, stock show or another important moment in the lives of her family, Nana wanted to be there.

Sports were a big part of Nana’s life. She especially loved watching her grandchildren and great-grands play, being in the stands and cheering them on brought her great joy. When she wasn’t cheering for her own family, Nana was a devoted fan of Texas Tech teams, the Texas Rangers, and the Dallas Cowboys. She loved following her teams, and rarely missed an opportunity to watch a game.

Those closest to her will remember the little things that made Nana unmistakably Nana – her personality, her sayings, her competitive spirit, and most of all, the love she had for her family. Those memories will continue to bring smiles and laughter to the family she leaves behind; a family that knows how deeply they were loved and who will carry with them a lifetime of memories and traditions that will keep Nana close for generations to come.

She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Millard Davis of Azle, Texas; her two daughters, Rhane Jeffress and her husband, Tim, of Weatherford, Texas, and Dee Keener and her husband, Ray, of Seminole, Texas. Nana’s legacy continues through her grandchildren, Brandee Smith and her husband, Derrick, of Lubbock; Todd Jeffress and his wife, Desiree, of Dallas; and Amanda Corfield and her husband, Josh of San Angelo.

She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Kinzlee Smith, Londyn Jeffress, Corbin and Paislee Heady, and Brennan and Creed Corfield. Besides being Nana, Barbara was also “Aunt Bob” to a niece, two nephews, and their children. Watching her family grow through another generation brought her great joy. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, and a brother, Billy Millard.

While her family mourns her passing, there is comfort in knowing that after their time apart, Barbara and Roy are together once again.
